A Lagos based Peoples’ Democratic Party stalwart ,Chief Segun Adewale popularly known as Aeroland as sounded a note of warning to People Democratic Party Chieftain at the centre over the coming convention to be held on 9th December 2017.He employed them to be careful so that the convention will not be the end of the party in Nigeria, if it is wrongly managed.
He maintained that zoning arrangement had been done already, that Chairmanship of the party has been zoned to Yoruba, SouthWest, while Vice National Chairmanship of the party was zoned to South East but for the selfish interest of some party leaders they want it to be changed so as to pave way for Gov. Ayodele Fayose, whom he referred to as his leader to become Vice Presidential candidate.
Segun Adewale expresses his disappointment over the politicking going on to deny Yoruba their opportunity of leading the largest party in Africa.
The outspoken Segun Adewale did not mince word when he lambasted interim National Chairman of the party Senator Marakafi for being double standard, described him as somebody with acute malaria, when he was asked to react to the statement credited to Senator Marafi that the Chairmanship was Zoned to Southern Nigeria not South West as claimed by him.
He was honored with the award of Humanitarian Person of the Year by Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria, where he urged the journalists not to compromise standard, offered advise that reporters should always cross-check their stories before publication.
Adewale could not hide his displeasure over violent that always attributed to him, whereas he had no knowledge of them. He attributed this to the hand work of his political enemies.
