Group Celebrates Opeifa As New NRC MD
P-BAT Academics and Professionals Group has congratulated Dr Kayode Opeifa on his appointment as the Managing Director of the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC).
The Convener and National Coordinator of the group, Prof Yemi Oke, in a statement, described Opeifa as one of Nigeria’s brightest minds who is always real, frank, brutally honest, diligent, and almost a perfectionist.
He said, “As a board member of the Nigerian Railway Cooperation (NRC), Opeifa deployed his best endeavours as a foremost transportation expert and former commissioner for transportation in Lagos State, and his deep insights in midwifing LAMATA and other rail projects initiatives in Lagos State and served the country excellently and passionately.
“The appointment of Opeifa as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Cooperation (NRC) is another bold, loud statement from the Bola Tinubu administration that excellence and competence count much more than “political patronage”, Opeifa is just a perfect fit for that sensitive job.
“As a group, we appreciate President Tinubu for appointing a first-rate professional person of our own, Dr. Kayode Opeifa, as the MD, NRC.
“We pledge our continuing commitment to adding critical values and input into the affairs of this administration as volunteering professionals and intellectuals”.
Speaking on the group, Oke said, “We promise to sustain our critical inputs through our seminars, workshops and cluster activities and through all our Directorates and State structures to positively engage the process of governance and add technical, professional and critical values.
