A 24-hour digitized Increase in Digital Traffic Enforcement is attainable in Lagos – Alake
The Lagos State Government is fast attaining a 24-hour driven economy which would allow companies to operate in a safe and secure environment.
The Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, Mr Olatubosun Alake , at the 2025 ministerial press briefing stressed that , creating a safer and more conducive environment for businesses, more jobs and increasing IGR of the State is paramount.
The Commissioner stated that the project involves the deployment of intelligent video cameras in strategic locations in the State with the execution and completion spread over points in time, in phases I,II and III respectively.
Alake, revealed that a digitized City will require physical infrastructure connections to improve the digital connections to improve the digital connectivity of the State.
He added that, the metrofibre project seeks to deliver 6000km of optic fiber and optic fiber ducts for increase in digital penetration.
He said that, through the enterprise Architecture, digitizing the state”s data infrastructure will yield a more efficient civil service which will facilitate viable partnerships with private- sector stakeholders to drive solutions for government.
Reiterating the Commitment of Governor Babajide Sanwo- Olu”s administration to driving E- governance in Lagos State through LASG website, ICT request platform and Oracle Update.
He noted that, the new Lagos State digital services platform will simplify access to Lagos State Government topics and Services. While hinting on driving artificial intelligence adoption @ 2025- strategic goals via AI guidelines Roll-out, Launching of AI powered chat bot ,Integrating AI into E- Governance Services e.t.c
The commissioner, elaborated on The Lagos state Cyber Security posture which has improved over the past one year . The cyber security department successfully mitigate two data exfoliation attempts.
He revealed that, Lagos State is the foremost data complainer state across the federation with periodic assessments. The State boasts of 109 data protection officers to ensure compliance and protection.
