The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Kwara State Chapter has commiserated with Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRAzaq and the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari over the death of the governor’s father, Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Folorunsho Abdul-Razaq SAN (OFR).
The Union in a statement signed by the state Chairman Alhaji Aliyu Issa Ore noted that late first lawyer in the Northern Nigeria was a rallying point and a father to all during his life time.
Ore stated further that the first family in the state have every reason to thank Allah and continue to pray for the reposed soul of the late AGF who according to him lived a life worthy of emulation.
He said that the elder statesman would be remembered for his contribution to nation building and his interest in the growth, progress and development of Kwara State.
The NLC urged the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and other members of the family “to take solace in fact that the late elder statesman lived a fulfilled life and left a worthy legacies behind”.
The Union also commiserated with the entire Ilorin Emirate over the death of the Mutawali of Ilorin and Tafida of Zazzau (Zaria).
