ALAYANDE VARSITY VICE-CHANCELLOR, ‘LANRE OLANIYAN BOWS OUT AS LAUTECH, OGBOMOSO COUNCIL MEMBER; APPRECIATES GOVERNOR MAKINDE
The Vice-Chancellor, Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan, has expressed appreciation to the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE for the opportunity given him to serve as a Governing Council Member-at-Large at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso.
The Eruwa-born administrator expressed his profound appreciation in a personal message released after the valedictory meeting organised by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of LAUTECH Governing Council, Professor Ayodeji Oludare Omole. The message reads, “Glory be to God Almighty as I successfully completed my tenure as a member of the LAUTECH Governing Council. 01 April 2021 – 31 March 2025. My sincere appreciation goes to the Visitor to the University and Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, for appointing me to the Council. I also thank all members of the Governing Council led by Prof Deji Omole for the hard work, for bringing peace to the campus and ensuring all-around development of the institution during our tenure. The tenure marked the establishment and commencement of activities at the Iseyin campus of the University. I also appreciate all members of Council for the camaraderie and the love we shared together. I will always remember the togetherness…”
It would be recalled that Professor Olanrewaju Olaniyan was graciously appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo by the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE, on 9 August, 2023, during his service as a Council Member-at-Large, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso. The Professor of Economics had formerly served as Chairman, Governing Council, Oyo State College of Education, Lanlate; former Director, University of Ibadan Centre for Sustainable Development, 2016 – 2021, and former Dean, Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria among others.
