Chairman of Kedge Sports Football Club, Noah Omotunde has reacted to the 7-0 victory over Flying Wings when both clashed yesterday in the week one of the ongoing Alimosho Football Coaches Council League.
The much anticipated Alimosho Football League which kicked off yesterday is organized by Alimosho Football Coaches Council. Twelve teams are taking part in the ongoing league that would conclude next year February.
Omotunde whose team massacred Flying Wings in the opening match told our correspondent that it was a good start for his team boasting that with this victory, other clubs should be afraid of them.
“We have sent a warning signal to other participating teams to beware of my team. We are in this league to make statement and go for the title. Although it is too early for me to say we want to win the title but our first game against Flying Wings was a clear indication that we would go far in the league,” he said.
In a match watched by appreciable crowd yesterday at Asiriabo playground, Ijanikin, Kedge Sports FC were in control of the game from the blast of whistle as Femi Olaniyan scored four goals while Micheal Suru recorded hat trick to confirm their supremacy over their opponents.
In today’s match Newton FC would host Peculiar FC at Iba Estate football pitch by 2:30pm, while Iyaloja United FC would be visiting Tailgate at Ejigbo playground. The match would kick off 4:30pm.
Action continues tomorrow when Salamson FC would be at home against Samjason FC. The match would hold at Egan Grammar School by 4pm. Both teams are using the same venue as home ground.
Meanwhile Chairman Organizing Committee, Samuel Eke has expressed satisfaction with the team’s readiness for the league. He said all the teams have met the league requirements and wished all of them best of luck in their outings.
