BAYELSA PARAMOUNT RULER BAGS PEACE AMBASSADOR’S AWARD

The former Acting Paramount Ruler of Edepie Community in Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, His Royal Highness Joseph Francis has been conferred with the Peace Ambassador’s Award by the Global Peace Watch-Dog Association Worldwide.

 

The National Coordinator of Global Peace Dog Association, Alhaji Mohammed Musa, represented by South-South Coordinator, Mr. Chris Okeoma while presenting the Award Plaque to the revered Royal highness, Joseph Francis said at his Palatial Home said the choice of the former Acting Paramount Ruler was reach in recognition of his open door policy, peace building efforts and humanitarian activities that have impacted positive on the lives of the people cutting across religious and tribal backgrounds.

 

Mr. Okeoma noted that a probe into the activities of His Royal Highness as a former Acting paramount Ruler of Edepie Community revealed that he made transparency his watch word in the management of Community resources for the benefit of every one and prayed God to grant him sound health and life him to a higher position of leadership to render selfless service to humanity.

 

Responding, the award recipient, His Royal Highness, Joseph Francis thanked Global Peace Watch-Dog Association for finding him worthy of the prestigious award.

He said he is surprised that he was nominated for the ward while stating that it will spur him to redouble efforts to render better services to societal development. He informed that he is currently building a Coppers Lodge in Edepie Community to address accommodation problem facing Youth Coppers on National assignment posted to Edepie.

 

Mrs. Tonbra William, Coordinator Women and Social Affairs decorated the Awardee with the Global Peace Watch-Dog Association emblem.

In his Solidarity speech, Chief Gilbert Aaron described the awardee, His Royal Highness Joseph Francis as a kind hearted man with peaceful disposition that is always willing to reach out to the downdrodden in the society as evident by his transparent and focused leadership style to touch lives positively with resources at his disposal.

 

He thanked Global Peace Watch-Dog Association for identifying and conferring on the former Edepie Monarch for the prestigious award.

 

He noted that they are proud to be associated with His Royal Highness Joseph Francis for being a rally point for the prevailing peace in Edepie.

 

Chief Headman Alu while giving the vote of thanks, lauded His Royal Highness for the warm reception accorded the Global Peace Watch-Dog Assocation Entourage and for accepting the award following his nomination.

 

Dignitaries present at the award presentation include the Global Peace Watch-Dog Association Supervisor, Hon. Ambassador, Philip Jeremiah Eke, the Community Development Chairman and Acting Paramount Ruler of Edepie, Comrade Shadrach Etevie and his Youth President Counterpart, Tamadu Seaboy, Joel, Youths among orders.
