Eko Club appreciate Almighty God, Excos, dedicated members for laudable and hitch-free tenure — Amodu

The President, Eko Club, Surulere, Lagos, Mr Razaak Olugbenga Amodu, yesterday expressed appreciation to God, the executives and dedicated members for a hitch-free and laudable tenure, especially since his assumption of office for the past three years, just as he also added that that unity, cooperation and support of both the executive and the entire members contributed to the major achievement of the club.
Amodu made the pronouncement in his Presidential address at the half yearly general meeting of the club held at Blessing Hall, Eko Club, Surulere, Lagos.
Amodu, the 22nd President of the foremost socio -cultural club in Africa, maintained that he greatly appreciated God for two major things, particularly the mercy and grace to serve the association starting from welfare officer, the secretary, assistant president and ultimately as the president of this Honourable club.
He also disclosed that he gave glory to God forgive having blessed members and also their unwavering support, especially for making his tenure laudable and hitch-free.
“Let me specially appreciate God for two major things, particularly the mercy and grace to serve the association starting from welfare officer, the general secretary, assistant president and ultimately as the president of this Honourable club.
Secondly, it important and incumbent of me to give glory to God for having blessed members and also their unwavering support, especially for making his tenure laudable and hitch-free.
“Going forward, especially as we count our days to our exit in February 2025, we shall not leave any stone unturned. We want to do much more by having a seamless emergence of another set of noble men that would continue from where we will stop as the exco of this foremost socio -cultural club in Africa”, Amodu said.
He also prayed that the voice of the majority be heard as the club choose the next office holders, just as he appealed to members to continue to be one and United.
“Together we are stronger, our voice louder, the synergy of our actions more powerful as I unveil other activities lined up for our 50th anniversary celebration coming up later this year”, Amodu said..
He also disclosed that Eko Club can now be well recognized as not only a social club but equally as a sports club due to availability of sporting facilities and fully participation by members and friends in various tournaments.
It delights my heart once again to disclose that between January – June, 2024, the club generates N206.9million from all sources including rentals, subscriptions, donations etc”, Amodu said.
