Senator AbdulFatai Buhari is now a principal officer of The Nigerian Senate. He is now acting senate acting chief whip.
This is following the court judgement that confines Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, who is Chief Whip, to 12 year imprisonment.
Buhari, who represents Oyo North senatorial district, was yesterday appointed by his colleagues to act as chief whip.
Senator Sabi Abdullahi (Niger North) who is deputy whip, is now acting leader due to absence of the duo of Abdullahi Yahaya Abubakar (Kebbi North) senate leader and deputy leader, Senator Robert Ajayi Borrofice (Ondo North) who are attending function at NAF, Kado,Abuja, on behalf of Senate President.
