Following the mandatory NIN-SIM Linkage exercise that began since December 2020 to all telecommunications operators to implement full blockage of all subscribers who refused to linked their number with NIN
as directed by the Federal Government.

The operators, including MTN, Airtel, Globacom, 9mobile, among others have been lettered to carry out the exercise as directed.

Based on this SMS message from GLONIN to their customers ‘Dear Customer, your line will be disconnected! Your Glo line is not linked with your NIN as directed by NCC to avoid immediate disconnection, visit the nearest, the network subscribers are lamenting on the inefficiency of the provider to have appropriate database of their customers.

Globacom subscribers are angry at this message asking how many times a subscriber will have to register or link his/her lines to same network.

“How many times will these network subscribers link their mandatory NIN-SIM to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC)?

“Accessing the Globacom network offices or their agents is another way to exhort the innocent citizens from their hard earned money with the current situation,” some of them alleged.

A subscriber who spoke with Saharaweekly asked whether it is only Globacom network that is always repeating this exercise since the issue of NIN -SIM linking started.

Another subscriber Mr Segun Onaolapo lamented that upon the poor network service they get from Globacom, the company still take them for a fool.

“How many times will someone link NIN to this telecom network, what happened to the previous registration that we did.

“Personally I have done this three times, Globacom and the Nigerian Communications Commission NCC should let Nigerians know what is happening, enough of this fraud”, he added

Another subscriber who gave her name as Ms Jennifer Etteh said Globacom is the worst network and something needs to be done fast to save many of the subscribers.

Sixty -five percentage of Globacom network subscribers are not happy over this latest development.
