The Detective of Lagos State Police Command has arrested a clergy man, Mustapha Ahmed, 23years old for allegedly deceiving a student of College of Education (names withheld) and raped her under the guise of spiritual cleansing in Ikorodu area of the state.
The suspect, who claims to be an Alfa,deceived the victim after he find out she is a virgin and told her that she will die in the next 24 hours if she failed to have the spiritual cleansing through sexual intercourse.
Lagos Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, said that the Alfa deceived her with a vision. “He told the victim that he saw a vision that she would die in the next 24 hours”.
CP added that the victim then decided to do the spiritual cleansing the fake clergy man recommended so as to live.The suspect told the victim that the cleansing will be carryout at Ikorodu.
Nemesis caught up with the suspect when after having the carnal knowledge of the victim,She started misbehaving.
According to police boss, the suspect use white handkerchief to clean up the victim private part after having the sexual intercourse. He took the victim to Ikorodu area from Bariga, where he had carnal knowledge of her as solution to the spiritual problem.
Alfa admitted to have committed the crime, he said it was the girlfriend of the victim that brought her for consultation.
Immediately the victim was brought to my place I felt in love with her, I decided to inform her that I saw a vision for her since she is a friend to my girlfriend I did not want to tell her that I am in loved with her, that was reason why I told her we would go to Ikorodu in my house, for the cleansing because Bariga is my mother’s area,Alfa confesses.
Speaking further, the suspect said that he instructed the victim to bath and pray three times. “She had bath the first time and prayed. The second time, I secretly put a live frog in her water.
“She ran out and told me there was a frog in her water. I replied that it was a bad omen and the solution was for a man to sleep with her,” Ahmed confessed.
And I advised the victim to call her boyfriend so that he can complete the cleansing but she said he was far away.
He said“Because of the urgency, she suggested that I did it with her to save her. So, I slept with her. But I didn’t wipe the blood.”
