The Electoral committee sent by National working committee from Abuja led by former Cross River State governor Clement Ebri to oversee the gubernatorial primaries election landed in Lagos State from Abuja yesterday morning was being taken to governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state by the All Progressive Congress party Lagos state Chairman Alh.Tunde Balogun.
It was learnt that when the committee got to governor Ambode’s office, Alh.Tunde Balogun Lagos state APC Chairman was asked to excuse them by governor Ambode, left him and the Clement Ebri led committee in his office for discussion.
Later in the evening at the All Progressive Congress Party Secretariat Acme office, Clement team was seen with a white Hiace commuter bus filled up with naira currency worth two hundred and fifty million(N250 Million) allegedly bribed from Governor Ambode.
Clement Electoral committee team went straight into the meeting with the Lagos team led by Speaker of the House of Assembly Hon. Mudasiru Obasa, Hon Faleke, House of Rep. Member, Chairman Odiolowo LCDA,HON. Ajala and some other APC Chieftains. When reporters spoke to Clement Ebri after the meeting, he confirmed that the election will hold tomorrow(today) that all is well but Hon. Obasa who spoke on behalf of APC Lagos team says that the request of NWC team that ballot paper should be used for the primaries was turned down because of time constrain.
