Mr. Adeleke Adekoya, erstwhile Senior Special Assistant on Survey Matters to embattled governor of Lagos State, Akinwumi Ambode has openly denied the governor.
Adekoya, who until very recently, was also a close ally of Ambode obviously acted in that manner to keep alive his House of Assembly dream. According to sources, the surveyor wants to represent Somolu Constituency One and he is prepared to remove every obstacle, including the negative influence of a drowning governor.
For good measure, he even approached some leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, claiming that the governor refused to pick his calls for almost two months now and that they no longer belong to the same political caucus. However, those unimpressed with his shocking actions have already accused him of back- stabbing the governor after riding on his back to political prominence when he was picked to lead one of the governor’s many groups, the Libra Minds.
Adeleke, a hitherto unknown political quantity and upstart, was a close friend of Gov. Ambode. Ditching him at his trying time because of his ambition shows how transient political support can be. Anyway, such is life!
