Nigeria’ll be great again under Tinubu, Clerics declar
The National Coordinator of South West Prayers Support for Tinubu in conjunction with All Christian Leaders/Ministers Forum had declared that Nigeria shall be great again and shall glorify God soon under Tinubu-led administration.
The revelation was revealed at the end of the one-day intercessory prayer conference organized for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at Chapel of Christ the Light, Alausa, Secretariat, Ikeja, Lagos.
The programme with the theme: Let God arise and peace reign in Nigeria was packaged and organized by the South West Prayers Support for Tinubu in conjunction with All Christian Leaders/Ministers Forum in Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti and Osun States.
The National Coordinator of the Group, Rev Dr. Sam Ogedengbe, Ph.D. has assured that Nigeria would become great again despite the myriads of challenges facing her.
Ogedengbe expressed optimism that the country under the administration of President Bola Tinubu would regain its lost glory and rank among the best countries of the world.
Ogedengbe, often referred to as the Jagaban of Christian politics cautioned all Nigerians to stop criticizing those in government but should rather assist them in calling upon God Almighty to assist them in governance, just as he said that all we are passing through in the country is as a result of our sin, adding that we have the opportunity of calling on God and change the situation.
Ogedengbe said Tinubu was sent by God to lead the country from the wood going by his tortuous journey to the presidency, assuring that a new dawn awaits Nigerians in the coming months.
The cleric added that the removal of fuel subsidy may signal the beginning of the end of some of the nation’s challenges, urging Nigerians to endure the attendant pains of the action, as better days are ahead.
“What we are passing through is as a result of out of our sin, but we as Christians have the opportunity of calling on God to intervene and change the situation. Let me also intimate you that what we are passing through, God knows about it and the only way out of it is what we are doing presently, which I know and very optimistic that God will answer our prayers. I believe that President Bola Tinubu, were it not for God, he wouldn’t have emerged president, but God made him the president; so let us keep our fingers crossed and see what will happen”, he said.
Also the Special Adviser to Lagos State Governor on Christians Religious Matters, Reverend Bukola Adeleke, who stood in for Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu, at the event, described the program as apt and timely to seek the face of God, especially, now that the country is experiencing hardship, just as he added that prayer changes everything and was very optimistic that the prayer of the saints at the one-day intercessory prayer would not go in vain.
The preacher at the one- day programme, Rev. Julius Odofin, who used Biblical phrases in Psalm 60 verse 1 as his reference point said emphatically that Tinubu-led administration will succeed and that God will help him economically, security-wise and assist him when it matters, especially when to take sensitive decisions.
The attendance at the event include clerics from all the South Western states of Nigeria and who is who in the Christian families.
