A stakeholder in Ogbia local government area and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Daniel Iworiso-Markson has congratulated the winners of the PDP State Assembly Primary in the three constituencies in Ogbia.
In Ogbia Constituency 1, Hon. Mitema Obordor polled a total of 41 votes to defeat Barr. Azibataman Johnbull and Comrade Okenima Prince while in Constituency 2 Hon. Gibson Munalayefa was declared winner with 38 votes.
The immediate past chairman of Ogbia local government, Hon. Naomi Ogoli got 44 votes to beat Hon. More money and Daniel Etai for the constituency 3 ticket of the party.
Iworiso-Markson who said their victory was well deserved, thanked all the delegates for voting for them and for peacefully conducting themselves throughout the exercise.
He promised to mobilize more support and campaign for all the candidates to ensure they emerge victorious in the 2019 general elections.
According to him, the journey has just began as the focus should now be on how to win the main elections next year, and prove to everyone the strength of the PDP in Ogbia local government.
The Information and Orientation Commissioner called on all loyal members of the PDP to close ranks and remain united ahead of the general elections.
He explained that only a united people can become victorious, adding that Ogbia people must surpass the votes they gave to the PDP in the last elections to further confirm their loyalty to the party.
Iworiso-Markson also thanked Governor Seriake Dickson for providing a conducive environment for peaceful electoral process which he said is unprecedented in the history of the state.
The Bayelsa Government spokesman assured the governor of the unflinching loyalty of Ogbia people to his administration and appreciated him for always standing by them.
He praised the governor for the various projects in the area like the Immiring and Opume bridge, the 10,000 capacity pavilion and the internal roads, saying they are all indications of the love he has for Ogbia people.
