Members of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), have been advised to assist in blocking leakages, so as to improve the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the institution.
The Rector, Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Engr. Abdul Jimoh Muhammed stated this during the courtesy call by the state executives of ANAN on the Management of the institution.
According to the Rector, the best way to display their professionalism is to help in blocking all those areas where revenues meant for the Polytechnic are being diverted to private pocket s, which has adversely affect day to day financial strength of the Polytechnic.
He added that due to paucity of funds in the institution, it’s becoming difficult to meet the financial requirements of the Polytechnic.
He also appealed to all staff to treat the Polytechnic like their private business.
Earlier, the Kwara State Chairman of ANAN, Alh. Bayo Sheu expressed immence appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazak for appointing the Rector, who he said, has enough experience to take Polytechnic to the next level.
He appealed to the Rector to assist more members to acquire professional certificate s.
In her vote thanks, the Acting Bursar, Alhaja Monsurat Abdul thanked the Management for enormous support for the ANAN members over the years.
She pledged the support of the members to the Management.
