The Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki Thursday announced a minor reshuffle of chairmen of senate committees announcing Senator Kabiru Marafa as Chairman of Senate committee on Petroleum (Downstream) and Senator Oluremi Tinubu as Chairman of the committee on Environment.
The two senators are some of the arrowheads that have staunchly opposed the emergence of Saraki as President of the Senate.
Saraki also announced Senator Hope Uzodima as chairman Senate committee on Customs, Senator Baba kaka Garubai as chairman Committee on Rules and Business, Senator Adokwe as Chairman Senate Committee on National Orientation and Information and Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe as chairman Committee on Power.
Others are Senator Joshua Dariye as chairman committee on public procurement, Senator Adamu Aliero as Chairman committee on aviation, Senator Daura Tijani as chairman Committee on federal character, Senator Jibrin Barau, Chairman, Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFUND, Senator Binta Marsi Garba, Chairman, Senate Committee on Women Affairs, Senator James Manager, Chairman, Senate Committee on Solid Minerals and Senator Hunkuyi Suleiman, Chairman, Senate Committee on National Identity.
Senator Jide Omoworare, Chairman, Senate Committee on Legislative Compliance, Senator Tijani Kaura, Chairman, Senate Committee on Federal Character, Senator Ahmed Ogembe, Vice-Chairman, Senate Committee on Marine Transport, Senator Omo Agege, Vice-Chairman, Senate Committee on Land Transport and Senator Philip Aduda, Vice-Chairman, Senate Committee on Downstream Petroleum.
