SPEAKER BYHA IS AN INTELLECTUAL PAR-EXCELLENCE

Rt Hon Ibraham Ingobere, the speaker of the 6th and 7th Bayelsa State House of Assembly, the resounding Lawmaker par-excellence, who hails from Sangana in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, is a quintessential and multifaceted personality who may be seen through a variety of lenses. A single view point is insufficient. He is a detribalized politician, a socialite, peacemaker, philanthropist, above all, a God fearing personified and humble to the core, who have made iconic contributions to lawmaking and the development of Bayelsa State and Nigeria at large.
Vividly, my first contact with Rt. Hon Ibraham Ingobere was very historical, perhaps was his first tenure as a member of the Bayelsa state House of Assembly, as a legislative consultant, I met him for the sponsorship of some proposed Bills and motions, I was received with openness, and drafted Bayelsa State signage and Advertisement Agency Bill for his sponsorship, which was officially handed over to him, Later, he became the Deputy speaker, thereafter our relationship became closer, since then I have been in absolute constant touch with him as a legislative consultant. I consulted for various Houses of Assemblies, House of Representatives and the Senate, I can still recalled how I was Mandated by him to travel to Ekiti State for referral assignment, Later as God will have it, he was made the Speaker of the 6th House of Assembly since then, he has been a unique friend, he played significant role in my Legislative consultancy services, also Rt Hon Konbowei Benson Friday the former Speaker now Senator representing Southern Ijaw/Yenagoa/Kolokuma/Opokuma Senatorial District, also, Hon Dr. Peter Akpe, former majority leader Bayelsa State House of Assembly, now Chief of Staff Bayelsa State Government, they are my mentors who have drive my Legislative consultancy to the National scene, I wish to express my profound gratitude to the three political gladiators in Bayelsa State.
As the old adage says, Power belongs to God, and due to his resolute performances has earned him another re-election bid in the passed Bayelsa State House of Assembly election, which also culminated the re-election as speaker of the 7the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, I am so optimistic that Bayelsa State House of Assembly will witness robust transformation, which we are witnessing under the able and dynamic Leadership of Rt. Hon Ibraham Ingobere.
The Speaker maturity, Commitment, Wisdom and Visionary in steering the affairs of the Bayelsa state House of Assembly speaks volume in ensuring inclusive Governance, there is great synergy between the Bayelsa State House of Assembly members, there is ultimate peace, Love and unity in the discharge of his legislative duties, more so, there is great turnaround, perhaps of the dependable allies of the resolute Assembly members and the staff.
There is a popular saying that “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail” success is most likely attainable when efforts are made and vice verse, the speaker has shown great administrative acumen, stressing that youths in Bayelsa State and Nigeria in general should emulate the great leadership qualities exhibited, in view of his antecedents both political, legislative acumen among others has earned him great political support base, especially during in his political campaigns from the youths, elders, women groups, for his ultimate support and more so, giving all their supports to any candidates, Rt. Hon Ingobere will direct, in fact, as far as Brass election is concerns, Rt. Hon Ingobere holds the key, the young political leader is a man of the people, a listening type, who can deliver in any political dispensation in Bayelsa State, above that, the resourceful speaker has spread its political tentacles to other Local Government Areas, his supporters and admirers are in all the Local Government Areas devoid of political affiliations.
His political journey has enriched his experience else there is cordial working relationship between the Executive arm of Government and the Judiciary, since his assumption as speaker of the state House of Assembly, from the 6th to the 7th Assembly. There is no impeachment threat within the state Assembly or Executive Governor, vividly, there is mutual working relationship, else, political observers and also my humble submission described Bayelsa State House of Assembly as the most peacefully, Lovely, and united House of Assembly in Nigeria, which can be attested in different perspectives.
In addendum, it is heartwarming to note that the Judiciary arm is so cordial with the Legislative arm, every legitimate step Judiciary has been a great support of the unwavering success story of Rt Hon Ingobere’s speakership legacies, the Legislative arm of the Assembly are dispensing their Legislative mandates with full support from the Leadership of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, under his watchdog.
More so, the House of Assembly Service Commission and the legislative Aids and other support staffs are equally receiving ultimate support and synergy from the distinguished leader. Apparently, Ingobere is a square peg in a square hole. It is thoughtful that his accomplishments presently as the 6th and 7th speaker of the Bayelsa State House of Assembly is connected with commensurate labour and inclusive Government, he had performed creditably well, who is working assiduously in sleepless nights in ensuring credible Legislature. In the security arm of the assembly is not exceptional of the mutual working relationship exhibited by the unique speaker, personally, I am so proud to be part of this quintessential, inspiring and motivational achievements of the iconic political leader of our time, this can attest that Bayelsa State and Nigeria will be better with people like Ingobere at the helm at affairs, which has brought unprecedented transformation in the Bayelsa State and Nigeria at large; considering the great people oriented Bills and motions passed into laws which are changing the narratives of the good people of Bayelsa State, the infrastructural innovations of the Assembly complex is so fundamental, the office complex is having its model outlook which can be described as one of the best parliamentary edifices in Nigeria with solar lights and provision of furniture and other vital equipment is another landmark achievements of the great speaker, this amazing accomplishments are just one step on his journey as Bayelsans and Nigerians look forward to seeing more dividends of democracy through the relentless search for solutions to problems and finding innovative ways to improve Bayelsa State through credible legislations, socio-economic development, above all, his salient achievements will remain a major reference point to the people of our state and Nigeria as a whole.
The unwavering succor to the media arm of the Assembly is so commendable and also, his great support to the great house of Assembly correspondents cannot be quantified, the super typological Ingobere is not unlike the rest of us. He has had his ups and downs. He is an enigma; he goes more than the proverbial extra mile to achieve good result. And that is why his exploits in all strata are unforgettable, impressive and even legendry. Also, community development and empowerment of youths, chiefs, elders, women groups, payment of scholarships of students in his Brass constituency and Bayelsa State in general is second to non, which makes him stand out, and execution of viable people oriented projects, notably, construction of roads, school buildings, renovation works, among others. Having x-rayed his administrative, and political-socio cultural acumen, he is a man we can rely and trust in all times. While tasking Bayelsa youths and Nigeria in general to emulate the unique leadership qualities of our prototypical man of our time, who is leading with the fear of God almighty.
