The operatives of the Federal Special Ant-Robbery Squad (FSARS), Lagos state police command, Lagos, have arrested three syndicate specialized in robbing car owner.
The two suspects are, Mayawa Ogunmola , age 40, Femi Ayode 23, Azeez Ibrahim 34,
Parading the suspects, the commissioner of police, CP Edgal Imohimi said that on 18th july 2018 at about 11:30hrs, one Femi Mayak a male reside at William care street, Anthony Village, Lagos, wrote a petition to the commissioner of police Lagos state.
In the petition, he reported that his houseboy name Mayowa Ogunmola made away with his Toyota Prado land cruiser jeep with Reg No LSD 735 BP containing personal documents.
Based on the report, he directed the FSARS operatives to fish out the suspect, the suspect was eventually arrested at Ikorodu area of the state where he took refuge.
The suspect confessed to the crime and took the detective to Ijebu -ota, Ogun state where he claimed he gave the stolen car to one Femi Ayode whom he asked to get a buyer. The said Femi was arrested and confessed he has sold the car for fifty thousand naira only (N50) and led the operatives to arrests Azeez Ibrahim and the car was recovered.
40years old suspect confessed that he did not know what came over him, I have work with my oga since three month everything is fine, i am asking forgiveness.
On the complainant part the day he abscond with my car he drug my food I ask him to assist me collect from the food vendor that sell food close to my office, “after taking the food it was next i wake up. From hospital, I will never forget that day, it is the day Nigerian have match by 4pm, I suppose to watch the match but I did not know how I slept off for hours until one of friend who did see me where we watch match together came to check on and find me sleeping inside office which is unusual, he tried to wake me up yet he could not he now contact my wife before I was taking to hospital until the day before I wake up.
According police boss, the suspects will be charged to court at the end of the investigation
