Operatives of the Zone 2 Police Command, in charge of Lagos and Ogun, have arrested one Moshood Najimdeen ‘m’ at his residence in Oke-Ola area of Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State with two suspected human hearts.
Confirming the arrest, SP Ayuba Tunni Umma,the spoke person of Zone 2 stated that, the suspected human part was discovered during a search at the suspect residence.
Umman said, during interrogation, the suspect implicated one Adebanjo Wasiu ‘m’, whom he claimed to have paid Fifty Thousand Naira (₦50,000.00k) to assist him to get two human hearts.
“Adebanjo Wasiu ‘m’, in turn, pointed to one Segun Asunni ‘m’, as the source of the hearts.
“Investigation has commenced into the alleged offence while the two suspected human hearts have been sent to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) for thorough examination and confirmation, further findings will be communicated”.
The Assistant Inspector General of Police AIG Ari Muhammed Ali, fcia, psc+, PhD, advise residents to always remain vigilant and promptly report any form of unwholesome activities in their respective areas to the nearest Police formation within their locality.
