50% Transport Fare Discount: Yet to see many good plans of Tinubu for Nigerians – Stephen Adedayo say

 

Following the yuletide reduction in the transport fares across all parks and garages in the country and the Federal Capital Territory, as well as the commendations here and there on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the reduction.

Mr Stephen Adedayo, President Tinubu’s former photographer of repute and a personal photographer to late Chief Kudirat Abiola, the heroine of June 12, 19993, has declared that those that has ears should hear him that the reduction of fares nationwide is just a tip in the icebag, because according to him, “Tinubu will become another Maradona as far as governance is concerned in this country”, because he is loaded with many good goodies that would alleviate the suffering of masses in this country, just let us bear with him for a while” Adedayo said .

The Ado-Ekiti born Photographer, made the statement in a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists on Sunday in Lagos and Abuja, maintained that the small times he was President Tinubu, who was then the Governor of Lagos State,opened his eyes to different nature and gifts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to him ” this is another Maradona as far as governance of this country(Nigeria) is concerned. All and sundry would even clamour for him to do 3rd term if constitution of the country would allow it. All I want from our people is patience, patience and patience. Let all of us key to his plans and policies. This man would turn around this country Nigeria”, Adedayo

It would be recalled the Federal Government on Thursday granted a 50 per cent discount on fare tickets to various destinations within the country.

Earlier, President Bola Tinubu approved the commencement of the 50 per cent discount of the ticket fare by road, effective from December 24, 2023, to January 4, 2024.

“But, at least, as it stands, I see it as a good step in the right direction toward alleviating hardship that people are going through now in the country.”

He urged the private sector to keep partnering with the government in providing succour to the masses in the country.

“Pronouncement was made a few days ago and it is already being implemented. All the bottlenecks have been taken care of. So, it is good.

“It is capable of restoring the confidence of the people back in the ability of the government for the capacity of the government to work the talks.

“What we can say about the private sector regarding this project now is there is a kind of mutual trust between the private sector and the government, as a kind of synergy,” he said.

Also some resident interviewed at garages and parks had this to say “I am happy, I am very grateful to the government. The federal government should keep it up. It is really helpful. I really appreciate it.

“As I am going now, I am going to tell my friends who wanted to travel but were discouraged because of the high cost of the fare,” she said.

Adedayo, however, appealed to the drivers to drive gently and ensure their vehicles were well-serviced to avoid a breakdown on the roads.

He concluded that Nigerians have not seen anything as far as governance is concerned in Nigeria, because Tinubu in a matter of months in the new Year would turn things around .
