All progressive congress (APC)party held NEC meeting today where President Muhammed Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo were in attendeance. The national working committee was dissolved while care taker committee was appointed, the committee was headed by Yobe state governor, governor Mai Bala Buni

The announcement was made at the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting organized by acting National Chairman of APC, Victor Giadom, which took place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

President Buhari who led chieftains of the APC at the meeting also called for the immediate suspension of all pending litigations involving the party and its members, as well as the ratification of the party’s governorship primary election recently conducted in Edo State.

He condemned the recent crisis within the party, stressing the need for members to enforce party discipline.

President Buhari, therefore, appointed Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, to head the new Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee for the party.

The governor was immediately sworn in at the meeting by the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami.

The meeting which started around noon also had in attendance President of the Senate Ahmad Lawan; Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila; and 15 state governors.

Others in attendance were National Deputy Chairman, Lawal Shuaibu; Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege; the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Idris Wase; the House majority leader, Hassan Dogowa; and the Deputy Chief Whip, House of Representatives, Nnenna Ukeje.

State Governors in attendance as of the time of filing this report include those of Nasarawa, Niger, Jigawa, Yobe, Plateau, Kogi, Imo, Gombe, Osun, Ogun, Lagos, Kwara, Ekiti, Kano, and Kebbi.

Giadom was the first to arrive for the meeting, alongside the National Deputy Chairman-North of the APC, Lawal Shuaibu.
