……FMC awards retirees pledge more qualitative services.
The federal medical centres, FMC Yenagoa recently reward retirees and those who have served meticulously in serving mankind.
The epoch making event took place at the prestigious federal medical centre, which was witnessed by very important personalities within and out the state, which was equally used to wine and dine in appreciating 2020 end of year thanksgiving occasion in reappraising performance level, in abide of improving qualitative service delivery in the health sector.
The Chief medical Director Dr. Dennis Oju Allagoa who was so excited and short of words in underlining his salient achievements.
Dr. Allagoa used the medium to appreciate staff in making him proud stressing that the Federal Medical Centre Yenagoa is one of the first Federal Medical Centres in Nigeria, although there are general challenges but with the full cooperation of the support staff, especially doctors and other essential staff.
The chairman of the occasion, Barr. Omale Omale who is the chairman Board of Trustees thanked the chief medical Director for his commitment in moving the federal medical centre to an amiable height. He further, disclosed that plans are in top gear to upgrade the federal medical centre to a teaching hospital, while commending staff to put more efforts in the realization of the great task ahead in the upgrade. He equally pledged to give his needed support in developing the federal medical centre, especially, manpower development, provision of basic infrastructural development among others in making the centre more attractive in the health service delivery.
One of the retirees former director of administration Mr.Inebraye Ogoro who was awarded for his qualitative services, the Chief medical director described the retiring staff well done and wishes them farewell, stressing that their services will be greatly missed in the great institution.
Also, Association of Resident Doctors Bayelsa State organized week long end of years event recently, the week-long event includes, football tournament, medical outreach, dinner/award night. The climax was the change of leadership and thanksgiving service in heralding the end of year 2020
The chair person of ARD Bayelsa state chapter, Dr Divine Ebidimie, who was full of joy pledges open door policy in moving the association forward, she further disclosed that despite the ravaging global Covid-19 pandemic the association did their best
