The commander, while presenting an award to LUBCON, appreciated the management for the support given FRSC when the new zonal office was under construction and for aiding the success of the corps in the zone.

He also appreciated the company for not making inferior products which could contribute to Road Traffic Crashes (RTC).

“It is the customer service week, and we are here today because we received a directive from the Headquarters to appreciate our customers who are also our stakeholders.

“We want to use this opportunity to thank you for helping us to ensure that crashes are reduced, and obstructions are removed from the highway.

“Your support, though little it may seem, went a long way in helping the corps to actualise our mandate. We want a continued relationship with you, and we recognise your contributions,” he said.

The Head of Finance Department, LUBCON International Limited, Mr Umoru Muhammed, who received the award on behalf of the Managing Director, Mr Taiye Williams, appreciated the ZCO for deeming it fit to recognise and honour the company.

Williams reiterated the company’s commitment to working and supporting the corps in its goals towards achieving zero crashes in the zone.

“The FRSC have been good partners to us, they train our drivers. We shall continue to partner and support you.

“We must let you know that we always strive to work with you, and that is why we do not produce inferior products. We pray for better partnership with you, thank you,” Williams said.

Also presenting an award to the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of UITH, Prof. Abdullah Yusuf, the ZCO said that the institution had been of great support to the corps especially during the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in 2020.

Omeje commended the institution’s management for their assistance in caring for victims of RTCs, while asking for a stronger relationship with the institution.

He used the opportunity to enlighten the members of staff present on the basics of road safety.

Responding, Yusuf appreciated the ZCO for the award while commending the corps for their activities.

The CMD also reiterated the institution’s support for the corps.

“We will continue to engage the FRSC, and we also pray for a better relationship.

“I wish you a fruitful stay in your new office and in Kwara,” Yusuf said.
