It is no longer news that all who matter most and bona fide APC members in Lagos state have adopted Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu as their consensus candidate to be the flagbearer of All progressive congress(APC) in the forthcoming governorship Election next year.
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos state has shown desperation in retaining his exalted office despite the position of his party leaders including party highest decision making body, Governor Advisory Council (GAC) who has not hide their position to him that he should step aside for Mr.Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu who is regarded as man of the people to flag the flag of the party in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
Ambode did not take Governors’ advisory council (GAC) position kindly ,therefore he has decided to fight dirty among his party member. A source told integrityreporter that Governor Ambode has decided to destroy the party before he takes his leave from the party. A party chieftain cited example of what happened at the APC party stakeholders meeting held on Saturday at ACME Secretariat of the party, where Ambode was alleged to have imported thugs and non-party members to the party secretariat in other to embarrass our Party national leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and GAC members but they got wind of his plan, rather Senator Anthony Adefuye was sent to convene the party decision to the party stakeholders of their decision to back Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu as the next governor of Lagos state, the center of Excellence.
Another insider also informed integrityreporters that part of Ambode’s plan is to destroy the party through sponsored protest in favour of out- going governor of Lagos state slated for Maryland area of Lagos on Sunday and Monday where already financially induces group of people will gather to discredit party decision, each participant from different location in Lagos metropolis got an average of 10,000 naira as a mobilization fees and this was confirmed.
Through these, the ungrateful Ambode believes that Asiwaju Tinubu and Governor advisory council ( GAC) will be makes to look as if that they have lost the control of the party whereas his sponsored people are not members of our great party, they are just tout and people that Ambode has denied their dividend of democracy since his inception as governor of Lagos state, a party faithful said angrily.
