President Buhari exchange pleasantries with Acting Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Kpotun Idris at the state house, Abuja.

President Muhammadu Buhari has just appointed AIG Idris Ibrahim as the Acting Inspector General of Police. AIG Ibrahim is a gallant officer who enlisted in 1984.

Until his appointment today, he has served as a DPO in Sokoto after attachment before he was mobilized into PMF where he served for 17yrs. He has been a UC, Deputy Squadron Commander, Squadron Commander and Commandant Gwoza bush camp. He then went on foreign mission for 7yrs where he excelled and received over 19 commendations and award from UN.

AIG Idris Ibrahim returned to Nigeria as direction peace keeping office as DC before his promotion to the substantive rank of CP and posting as CP Kano. He went to NIPPS where he obtained the mni honours and was posted to Nasarawa as CP.

Acting IGP Ibrahim was later posted as Compol Mopol before his deployment to Kano. He was promoted to the rank of AIG and posted as AIG Dept of Operations FHQS.

Idris a recipient of over 49 international and domestic awards and also a graduate of Agric Econs and Law from ABU and UNIMAID respectively.
