The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kwara State Council, has expressed grief and disbelief of the sudden death of the Chief of Staff (CoS), Alh. Aminu Adisa Logun to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State.
The Union in a statement jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary, Mall Umar Abdulwahab and Dcn. Omotayo Ayanda respectively, commiserated with Governor AbdulRazaq and the Logun’s family over the death of their beloved one.
The statement, which stated that the CoS died when the state is consolidating on its gains in the fight against the novel coronavirus, described late Logun’s death as painful and a huge loss to the people of the state given his services to the state.
The Union stated that it has closely followed the activities of the State Government in containing the COVID-19 pandemic regretting that the virus despite efforts by the State Technical Committee on COVID-19, claimed the live of the late elder statesman.
A development which the Union said is an indication that the COVID-19 is real and required everyone to take personal responsibility for their health and well-being while government continue to intensify efforts to contain the spread of the virus.
