Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has dragged one Olayinka Manjo to Kwara state Chief Magistrate Court for conspiring with another person to allegedly defraud one Shittu Bisiriyu of a sum

of N28 million.

The defendant was said to have introduced the complainant (Mr.Bisiriyu) to his accomplice Baba Onikeke now on the run, for spiritual assistance.

NSCDC First Information (FIR) said that both Olayinka Manjo and Baba Onikeke, both of Araromi Okolowo and Onikeke village of Asa local government area of the state “committed the offence between November 2019 and September 2020 with the intent to defraud under the guise of giving spiritual cleansing to the defendant.

“NSCDC’s investigations revealed that the nominal complainant ( Shittu Bisiriyu) approach Olayinka Manjo  for spiritual assistance to boost his business and Manjo directed him to Baba Onikeke who never help the complainant boost his business as agreed.

“The complainant claimed that the first suspect (Manjo) was aware of some of the transactions as some monies were paid through him.” A the resumed hearing, NSCDC Legal Officer Ajide Kehinde urged the court to under the Provision of the Kwara state Administration of Criminal Justice Act Sections 47,48, 51 (1) to issue warrant of arrest against the second defendant (Baba Onikeke) and an order for the sealing of Baba Onikeke’s Shrine.

In his ruling presiding Chief Magistrate Mohammed Ibrahim ordered for the sealing off of the second defendant shrine by virtues of Sections 333 and 338 of the act.

He then adjourned the case to January 27, 2021 for mention.
