The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Hilda Harrisson has vowed to rid the state of Kidnappers and other criminals saying the safety of lives and properties should be joint responsibility of all and sundry.

The CP who assured of her readiness to embark on 24 hour surveillance of all the nooks and crannies of the state while addressing Journalists during an inspection tour of a kidnapped scene at Ero in Ifedore local government of the state said there will be no peace for criminals.

Following their intensive patrol of all major roads across the three Senatorial Districts in the state by her men, she said, activities of armed robbery and kidnapping had reduced to the barest minimum since she assumed duty in the state.

She how ever attributed the success recorded so far to the cooperation of all and sundry adding that safety of lives and properties should continue to be of major concern to all.

The Commissioner of Police who was received at Ero junction by the Divisional Police Officer of Ifedore, Mr. Wole Ogodo was accompanied on the inspection by top Police Chiefs in the state.

CP Harrisson also appealed to the people of the state to assist the Police b y giving useful informations that could lead to the arrest of hoodlums that live among them.

She how ever assured that the Police is ready to protect the life of any one that could link the Police to the hide outs of criminals adding that such information will be treated as top secret.

It will be recalled that the traditional Ruler of Esi Oba Akoko in Akoko South West local government, Oba Joel Sunday Dawodu and his Chief were kidnapped last week while on their way to Owo.

After much bargaining with the family and the people of the community the Kabiyesi and his Chief were released after paying a ransom.
