Theliberationnews Office Burgle
The corporate head office of Theliberationnews has been burgled by yet to be apprehended robbers.
The office is in the high brow business district in Oba Akran, Ikeja.
In a statement, the editor of the paper, Damilola Kushimo, stated that the burglary had been reported at the MAN CENTER Police station within WEMABOD estate, off Adeniyi Jones Avenue, Ikeja.
He added that the solicitor to the newspaper, Barrister Dare Sowunmi has also been instructed to formally notify the landlord of the building. This year alone, this is the second time that thieves visited the building.
On the first working day of Year 2024, it was discovered that the armored cable of Theliberationnews 20KVA CUMMINS generator had been stolen.
While the previous matter has been reported to the management consultant of the building, Mr Dele Odunowo, the latest incident sadly reared its ugly head.
Valuables were discovered to have been carted away by the burglars. The matter is under police investigation by the men of the Nigeria Police Force at the MAN CENTRE inside WEMABOD estate.
The officers, led by ASP Omololu, visited the scene on Monday for on-the-spot assessment and preliminary investigation commenced with some of the security officers manning the building interrogated.
