HON. (AMB) PHILIP EKE JEREMIAH

Hon (Amb) Philip Jeremiah Eke is a highly experienced business development strategist and also, a revered media and legislative consultant, a politician to the core, former elected councilor Yenagoa/Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area during 1996/1997, who represented Sabagreia/Igbedi Communities during the zero party election. He has equally attempted to contest for two times Bayelsa State House of Assembly election in KOLGA Two Constituency under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but stepped aside due to zoning arrangement, but the right time is now.

The resourceful Chief Executive who rose from humble beginning to become a successful player, especially in the media platform and the legislature consultancy, with the philosophy of diligence, perseverance and resilience, Eke stands tall among his peers, perhaps of his creativity and a force to be reckoned with by any one that comes across him.

The highly revered hopeful for the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, who is equally an advocate of qualitative education lamented that children were learning under deplorable infrastructure, contributing to their poor performance index, further noted that funding, lack of basic facilities were major setback, no clear roadmap for our educational system. Moreso, the educational curriculum needed review, stressing that the current curriculum centred on ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS and GOVERNMENT JOBS alone are not enough for sustainable economy, skill acquisition, innovation and creativities must be surely adhered to in the country.

 While thanking the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Mohammadu Buhari for signing the country’s Electoral Bill which is a plus in our democracy, also urging the electorates to vote credible candidates for elective positions in the country for the country to develop to the next level.

 Presently, Eke has been so busy moving around the constituency and consulting with different interest groups and individuals in selling his viable candidature, pledges to obtain the ticket of the great ambition. The Assembly hopeful who has always touted his maturity as an advantage, has described the task ahead as an enormous one, but needed collaboration to achieve the desire end, due to his alluring pedigree in politics and social life.

He equally lamented the worsening socio-economic and political conditions in Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituency Two and the country, he strongly believes he has what it takes to transform the constituency. He said the great challenge that propelled his Assembly ambition was the need to produce a new KOLGA Constituency II and pragmatic leadership with a difference, stressing that many are called but one will be elected.

Eke, equally has two prominent meritorious awards to his credits, notably, Peace Ambassador’s Award by Universal Peace Federation, Distinguish Service Award by Ethical Media Ambassador International.
