…as subdued Governor intensifies pleas for settlement

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has scheduled plans to be in Iyamho for the Salah celebration where, together with billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote, he would be meeting with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole to continue his pleas for forgiveness and a settlement.

Obaseki who had been bragging about a ‘fight’ made a U-turn this week following the declaration of President Muhammadu Buhari that the constitution, as recommended by both arms of the National Assembly, will be honoured in the resolution of the Edo Assembly crisis.

The statement which came immediately after the President met with Chairman Oshiomhole shattered the propaganda Obaseki and his hare-brained attack dogs have been spreading that the Presidency is in support of the Governor’s illegality.

Subdued and out of options, the Governor is now seeking to mend ties with the National Chairman with calls for intervention from prominent Nigerians and a direct plea for forgiveness.

After having met with the National Chairman at the residence of Dangote in Abuja, Obaseki has also reportedly booked an appointment to see him in the company of Dangote in Iyamho under the guise of celebrating Salah, but with the real intention of placating Oshiomhole and seeking a solution to the crisis.
